Born in 1985 in the south west of England, Anthony Dodds graduated from Falmouth University in 2009 with a degree in Photography. Within a year he had left Europe for Asia, searching for elusive imagery within cities and across countries, from metropolises like Tokyo to the backwaters of Laos. He finally settled in Indonesia, on the island of Bali. Here he spent 6 years working on a variety of personal photography projects and as a commercial photographer, shooting fashion, lifestyle, sports, and events.
Dodds recently relocated to Berlin, with so much time away from Western society giving him fresh perspective and opening his eyes to the millions of unique stories the people of this city hold. He works as a freelance fashion photographer and film producer, with clients including Deus Ex Machina, New Balance, Adidas, Raen and Toni&Guy.
With work frequently featured in publications world wide such as Yak Magazine, Huck Magazine, Desillusion Magazine, Surfer’s Journal, Surfer, Surfing, Surfing World, Chronicle, Slide, Blue Magazine.
Dodds most recent portrait series “Hoi Polloi” (Greek “The Many”) shows generations, ethnicities, nationalities and religions of the mixed community in the populated Canggu / Bali. The many unique faces of people – in the great mass. Was Exhibited in Bali, Indonesia.
